Remittance Services
- Inward remittance payment: Beneficiaries (remittance receivers) can get cash payment or deposit in their account, the money sends by their loved ones or relatives, through various remittance companies from different corners of the world. To get the payment, they are required to submit following documents to their nearest NBL branches or our listed subagents:
- SECRET KEY or PIN CODE (provided by the sender) and
- Valid identification documents issued by the Government of Nepal (Citizenship certificate, driving license, National Identity Card etc.) to verify their identity.
- Domestic remittance: One can send money from their nearest NBL branch to anywhere within the country in real time basis. Sender will get a Secret Key once the remittance transaction is processed. Beneficiary can receive money instantly from any of the NBL branches by submitting:
- Secret Key provided by the sender
- Valid identification documents issued by the government of Nepal to verify their identity (Citizenship certificate, driving license, National Identity Card etc.).
3. Money2India: Indian nationals working in Nepal can send money to India which will be directly deposited in the bank account of the beneficiary through Money2India arrangement of Nepal Bank Limited in coordination with ICICI Bank within the NRB (Central Bank of Nepal) regulation and directives.
4. SWIFT Transfers
a. Inward Transfers: Nepalese individuals or institutions can receive money sent through SWIFT to their account of Nepal Bank from anywhere around the world.
The sender has to furnish
- Nepal Bank’s swift code NEBLNPKA
- Beneficiary’s correct account name, account number, valid and lawful source and purpose (for big amounts)
The beneficiary has to present
- Self- Declaration by the beneficiary for confirmation of name, purpose and legality of the remittance
b. Outward Transfers: Nepalese citizen can send money abroad to India or any of the third countries for the purpose of college fee, living expenses, health coverage or medical treatment to be deposited in the account of concerned person or institution remaining within the NRB (Central Bank of Nepal) regulation and directives.
